How To Enter
1.0 Open to all participants
Free of Charge with a maximum of 3 submission per category.(
wide angle and micro)
2.0 Participants need to bear
accommodation, meals, flight and diving cost at LLIR.
Entries
1.0 All submissions must be on
jpeg format with no less than 300 dpi.
2.0 All submissions must be taken
with a digital camera during the trip 17-23 July 2007 at Layang
Layang Island Resort (LLIR).
Notification
1.0 Winning entries will be unveiled
at the resort and published in all major dive magazines.
Terms and Conditions
1.0 LLIR U/W Digital Photo Shoot
2007 is organized by Layang Layang Island Resort.(LLIR)
2.0 The Terms and Conditions
will apply throughout all stages of contest. The submission
of entries by participants shall be deemed and construed as
acceptance and agreement to be bound by terms and conditions.
3.0 All materials submitted shall
become the sole property of LLIR and will NOT be returned.
4.0 Incomplete and/or incomprehensive
entries will be rejected. Non compliance with or breach of
any of these terms and conditions shall also immediately disqualify
the participant at any stage of the contest and any prizes
won shall be forfeited, withheld or withdrawn.
5.0 Cropping and masking of pictures
is NOT allowed however sharpening and colour correction of
pictures is allowed.
6.0 All photographs submitted
original works, previously unpublished whether in books, magazines,
on the internet, photo competition or otherwise and have not
been copied wholly or in part from any other work or material
and that any use of such photographs.
7.0 A panel of judges will review
the submissions and select the winners. The selections and
number of judges, and the manner in which the Contest is judged
shall be at LLIR sole and absolute discretion.
8.0 The judges’ and / or LLIR
decision at any and all stages of the Contest is final. No
enquiries, appeals, correspondence, verbal or written, shall
be entertained. The participants shall accept and abide by
any and all decisions made by LLIR.
9.0 LLIR reserves the right to
change, amend or withdraw any or all of these Terms and Conditions
without prior notice to the participants, and to terminate,
postpone or suspend the Contest at any time.
10.0 LLIR reserves the right
to substitute, add or alter any of the prizes offered (if
any). All prizes won shall not be transferable or exchangeable.
All prizes not claimed within one year from the date of announcement
will be deemed as forfeited.
11.0 By submitting an entry of
entries, each participant unconditionally and irrevocably
agrees as follows:
a. LLIR shall have the right
(but not the obligation) to reproduce, distribute, edit, alter
and / or in any other way use the photograph(s) submitted
by the participant (whether in whole or in part) for publication
in any publications or website of LLIR. Or for exhibition
spaces to promote the Contest, or for any other purposes whatsoever,
without consultation with the participant or payment of any
fees or royalties to the participant;
b. The participant shall take
part in any promotional or publicity exercise as may be conducted
by LLIR in connection with the Contest, and the participant
hereby irrevocably and unconditionally grants LLIR all consents
and waivers necessary for LLIR to use the participant’s images
in any manner as LLIR shall in its sole discretion deem fit,
including without limitation publishing the names and photographs
of the participants on LLIR website(s);
c. The participants expressly
waives all right, which they may acquire or have under the
provisions of the Malaysian Copyright Act (and any subsequent
enactment or amendments thereto) and any other moral rights,
which the participant may have or be entitled under any legislation
now existing or in the future enacted in any part of the world.
12.0 LLIR shall not be liable
for any loss or damage whatsoever or howsoever caused arising
directly or indirectly in connection with the Contest. The
Contest and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by
any construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and the participants
submit irrevocably to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysian.
